Welcome to Lightening’s Blogworld
It looks like a *new* blog, even though it isn’t really. 
It’s a revamp of my blogger “Lightening’s Blogworld” blog. I’ve decided I’d like to revamp some of the posts from there rather than simply shifting them here as is, so I guess in a way this is a *new* blog.
Well don’t just stand there in the doorway letting all the hot air blow in, come right in and let me give you the grand tour…..there, that’s better. Let’s begin….
To your top right hand side, you’ll notice an option to subscribe. You can use the orange coloured RSS button or if you prefer to receive posts via your email, simply fill in the form and hit “subscribe”. Perhaps we’d better finish our tour before you do that…. Don’t forget now.
Moving down the right hand side, you’ll notice some lovely little tabs giving you the option to search the site, check out my archives or browse my various categories. Don’t get too excited and click there just yet. This is my first post so they’ll be rather empty.
Directly under this section you’ll notice a small section for advertisers. Feel free to click on these pictures if they interest you. They may take you to a blog or they may take you to a sponsors site. From time to time I intend to have some fun competitions and giveaways to give people the opportunity to advertise their own blogs there at no charge. Whatever you find there, you can be sure it has the “lightening tick of approval” so go ahead and take a peek….you know you want to. Not yet though, we haven’t finished our tour….
Following down the sidebar you’ll come across a lovely box done in cornflower blue. That contains a list of recent posts. Again, it’s looking rather lonely. But give me a week or so and it’ll hopefully start to fill up.
Your next challenge, should you choose to accept, is to fave this blog in technorati. What does that do? I have no idea but everyone seems to be doing it. So go ahead, take a chance and click the little green button. Oooh, but don’t forget to come back now…..
Back? Very good. You’ll want to keep a close eye on my sidebar there. That’s where some of the action will be taking place. Keep your eyes peeled for the latest poll giving you the opportunity to give your opinion on anything and everything. After all, don’t we all just LOVE to give our opinions?
Then of course there is the top commenters box. A very handy little tool that lets me (and everyone else) know who is talking to me. I am quite good at talking to myself but don’t let that stop you - comment away. After all, that box provides a very REAL link so there’s something in it for you as well as something in it for me. Plus there are going to be some fun prizes for those who find themselves on the top of that list at the end of some months.
Now, should you get yourself lost. Do. Not. Panic. All you need to do is scroll your way back to the top there and click on the words “Lightening’s Blogworld” and you’ll find yourself back home. Nice and cosy and comfortable. I’ll be sure to have the temperature control on so you feel nice and comfy. Might even be able to find you a cuppa and a biscuit if you smile nicely.
So, what can you expect to find here at Lightening’s Blogworld? Lots of bloggity fun. Some blog profiles, some linky love, some favourite posts, competitions…..who knows? But I’m sure it’s going to be great. You game to jump on board and join me for the ride?
P.S. To leave a comment, click on the blue speech bubble in the top right hand corner of this post. I’m sorry it’s not more clear - I’m looking into it. Oh, and your first comment will need to be approved before it shows on the site. So don’t panic if you don’t see it straight away. Now I just need to remember to check the comment moderation section…..

Of course, I temporarily forgot about the whole “moderate first time comments” and thought no one wanted to talk to me!!!! LOL.
Yes, I do seem to be collecting self hosted blogs. It’s hard to keep using blogger once you’ve gotten used to wordpress self hosted so I figured the best thing to do was make the jump with this one as well. Plus it means I get to play with another template….which is fun!!!!

The feed for this site came through on my google reader with the old feed, so the redirection seems to be working well.

I am a bit slow off the mark here - having just read of this new blog. Good luck with it, although knowing your other blog, I am sure this will be just as well written and valuable.
I had to subscribe and bookmark your blog as I have to delete another 75 sites from Technorati before I can add any more. (I used to use it as my blog reader long ago and got up to 315 favorites. This is strange considering there is supposed to be a 200 maximum!?)
