How Many Blogs Do You Have?

Blogging can be a lot of fun and quite addictive in a way.

I LOVE it for the chance to write something.

I LOVE it for the chance to have a say.

I LOVE it when people read what I have to say.

I LOVE it even more when people leave me a comment about what I’ve written.

I LOVE the friendships I’ve built up through readers of my blogs and through reading other people’s blogs.

Is it surprising that it’s somewhat addictive? What is there not to love???? Smile

Right now I’m running a poll on how many blogs my readers have. Most of you already know that I have 3!!!! Rather than clog up the one blog with post after post, I decided it made more sense (for me) to split my writings up into different blogs.

Please take a moment to stop by and respond to the poll in the sidebar.

ETA:  Oh dear, I’ve just read this back to myself and I’m not sure I quite finished it the way I had intended (before hitting publish).  That’s what heavy painkillers will do to you!!!!  Be warned!!!  Smile

I think the last line should be something like:  I’m curious as to how many blogs my readers currently have (as in write).  So if you have a moment to stop by and add your response to my poll “how many blogs do you have?”, that would be truly wonderful.

There, does that make more sense???  Sorry…….Embarassed

Hi Lightening,

Right now I have two, my “Telling It Like It Is” blog and a new Dental Blog that I’ve recently begun. I also write exclusive articles for one website, and may at some point begin a local niche blog for my city/county. I’ll just have to see how it goes with keeping up with what I have going right now before I even seriously consider a third blog.

It’s very important to me that what I write be meaningful, rather than publishing dribble, so it requires time, thought and effort.

Having just taken your poll, I need to go over to the Aussie Forum and figure out how to put a poll within a post on wordpress. I have an idea…………. :)

Absolutely agree with you on the content issue Lin. I’ll read with interest what responses you get on Aussie Bloggers. I can insert a poll into a post but can’t get it to show up and work in a feedreader. I know it can be done because Darren Rowse does it!!!! :)

I’ll have to post a question on the aussie forum tomorrow since it’s pretty late here, and I know they will all be very helpful. I’m loving the aussie forum!

I have 4 blogs, though only one really matters.

Cromely’s World (http://cromely.blogspot.com) is the one I update every day. It’s really the only one that matters.

Cromely Quotes (http://cromely-quotes.blogspot.com) is a miscellaneous collection of quotes and passages I want to save. I used to do this in a Word doc on my machine, but this way it’s more useful.

Shatner-Palooza (http://shatner-palooza.com) is a blog I created for a couple domains I own. I am fascinated with William Shatner, and post often about his antics on my regular blog. When I registered the domain, though, I couldn’t point it to my blogger post that lists all my Shatner related posts. So I created a new blog for that.

I also have a MySpace blog. I’m not even sure what the address is there. I occasionally post my greatest hits from my main blog over there, but I haven’t done that lately.

So there are 4 blogs, but really everything flows from the first one.

Just the one for me. I’ll write about anything that takes my fancy there.

(I’m not counting my old blog which is still on blogspot but inactive, and I have a couple of earlier aborted attempts from before that).

Hi, my name’s Naomi, and I’m a blogoholic… ;-)

I have 4 current public blogs (and a couple on the shelf) and 2 family/friends-only ones.

Hey Cromely - thanks for dropping by and for your input into the discussion. My blogs are a bit like that. I have my main one and the others are kind of secondary - more “niches” that have developed from having a general blog and a way for me to blog more often about those particular topics (eg blogging :) ).

Ian - sounds great. That’s how I started but I’d drive my readers nuts with the number of posts on just 1 blog which is why I seem to have branched out.

Hi Naomi - you forgot to say how long it is since you last blogged. ;) Guess what, as of yesterday I am now up to 4 blogs myself. Aaaarrrhhhhh….I may yet need a 12 step program (or a housekeeper lol).

LOL

4 blogs? Good stuff. A 12-step housekeeper maybe?

A 12 step housekeeper. Hmmmm…. think they’d need to take a few more steps than that ;)
