It’s Been a Big Week In Lightening’s Blogworld This Week
Image via WikipediaDaily Blogging Tips posted a guest post by Joshua Clanton on Star Trek Blogging : The Klingon Way. Well, I have to admit that the Klingons are not my favourite Star Trek characters. Just the food they consume makes me shudder!!!! But the post does present some important points about blogging, in a fun analogy.
Mrs Fussypants showed off her brand new baby and made ovaries the world over ache with longing. Congratulations to Fussy and family.
If only I lived close enough to pop over for a cuddle. I’m sure I can smell that newborn goodness right through my computer screen.
For those who love a good romance, The Pioneer Woman posted her latest instalment of Black Heels To Tractor Wheels.
The contest between John Cow and Garry Conn began with much ado, a little clashing of opinions and some fabulous advice. If you’d like to follow their progress, you can sign up for regular updates on their respective websites.
Mark at 45n5 posted an interesting post on Internet Homesteading. It was refreshing to read of a “make money online” guru stating that they’re not out there to make as much money as possible at all costs, but more as a way to fund a certain kind of lifestyle. Now there’s a man after my own heart and someone who I will be watching with keen interest.
Lin from Telling It Like It Is has a great post on keeping communication lines open between a parent and their teenage child. We’ve yet to reach these years with our kids but I’m aware of how close they are and it’s so valuable to have the thoughts of experienced parents to draw on.

Congratulations to all of them!!!
Yes folks, the week was so big that I had to ship my kids off to the Grandparents in order to keep up! Only kidding. They did spend a couple of nights with Granny but that had nothing to do with my blogging. HONEST!!!! It did make it easier to keep up though. With Farmboy (my DH) busy on the tractor, I was here on the computer well into the night.
Of course, things would go a lot easier if I didn’t have only 59% of space left on my hard drive. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s bad for how fast your computer runs. But don’t worry, I’m onto it. I’ve progressed from “how do I turn the computer on” now.
Have a great weekend everyone. And don’t forget to visit some of the fabulous posts I’ve mentioned. You’ll be glad you did.

I hope that 41% on your computer isn’t made up of worthless bonuses downloaded from some offer somewhere!
I’m off to visit some of your links.
ROFLOL Mark. Yes, probably.
Actually, I think it’s free downloads, photographs that need to be burnt to a CD AND numerous emails that should have been deleted a very LONG time ago. I’m a TERRIBLE procrastinator. Mind you, running the defrag program has helped immensely (guess that means I’ll put off dealing with the problem for a bit longer….)

Hey “kiddo” lol, thanks for that. I’m glad you enjoyed that article and found it to be informative. Wow have you got the teen
crapFUN coming your way in coming years! hahahaha I don’t envy you, and I’m sooo glad I’m done with it. hehehe
