30 Day Challenge
Image via WikipeA couple of weeks ago, I was asked by my good friend Kin if I was interested in doing the 30 Day Challenge with her. I’d heard Suzie mention it in the past so was VERY interested in checking it out?
What’s the 30 Day Challenge all about?
In a nutshell… The Thirty Day Challenge is about making your first $10 online. For a full 30 days we are going to be showing you exactly how to start your own Internet business and generate your first income online without spending a dime.
I thought it sounded like an excellent way to get going on my quest to make a few dollars from home, so I’ve signed up. It’s free, no strings attached, so I figure I have very little to lose and hopefully at least $10 to gain. 
Apparently it’s even better if you can get a group together who are interested in doing it. So what do you think? Anyone else want to join us and give it a go.
The way I figure it, we have plenty to gain and very little to lose.
If you sign up, make sure you put your blog URL and Thirty Day Challenge username in the comments section below so we know who you are. Apparently working in a team is THE BEST way to go so it would be great to form a team of us working together to help one another succeed.
Preseason has just started AND the actual challenge starts August 1st. You can also make use of the archives right up until the next challenge pre season starts so there’s no pressure to get everything they suggest done within the first 30 days.
Update:
I have just watched the first pre-season video and it’s worth signing up just to watch the first 10 minutes or so of that. It’s quite interesting.
2008 is the 4th series of 30-Day Challenge and each year it has grown and adapted to the changing internet world.
I was also quite excited to hear Ed Dale mention that he’s in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, Australia. A place very close to my heart (I used to live rather close to Moonee Ponds).
Apparently Twitter is very important. Phew! I just started with Twitter less than a week ago. Are you following me yet?

I look forward to working through the challenge with you. Have you had time to look around the forums at all yet?
I have taken part in the 30 day challenge before and it does provide a lot of useful information - even if you are not trying to make money and just want to learn methods to promote your blog.
Tom - there is a lot of buzz around the place so it’ll be interesting to see how things progress.

Lightening - Today I have watched the first 2 lessons and installed the flock browser. I have to say I like it so much more than IE
How did you go with the 2nd lesson, did you get it working?

I haven’t installed the flock browser myself yet but have managed to finally view the next youtube video.
IE is terrible isn’t it? I’ve been using firefox and I’m reluctant to change but it looks like flock is the way to go. Just need to do some maintenance work on my computer first.

Hi Lightening, I’ve had another thought about your video problem, have you tried letting the video run through once with the volume down while you are doing something else then once it’s finished just replay it and you won’t get any of the annoying buffering?. Otherwise you can download the mp4 file to your computer by right clicking on the SD or HD button beside the titles, then you click save link as (if you are using the flock browser) and save it into whatever folder you like

Planning Queen - welcome aboard. I have learnt HEAPS so far with the 30 Day Challenge preseason stuff. As for twitter - if you follow me then you’ll be able to see my tweets if you’re watching twitter (I tend to have twhirl open on and off throughout the day to see what those I’m following are saying).
Rachel - yes, that is how I’ve started getting around the problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t (to let it play through once first and then watch it). Ambitiously trying to follow the live ustream.tv right now. Not working very well so far. LOL. I can start a thread on the forums for us if you like. I was thinking it might be easier to chat on Aussie Bloggers Forum but we can do a bit of both if we like (and we’ll have a presence on the 30 Day Challenge forums too). What shall we call ourselves? Lightening’s team??? LOL.
