What Browser Do You Use?
Some time ago I was asked this question “what browser do you use”? It was closely followed by “please tell me it’s not Internet Explorer”.
Of COURSE I was using Internet Explorer. It came on my computer and no-one had told me I had any other option.
It was at this point that I first heard the term “Firefox”. And started to discover that Firefox users are snobs.
Seriously, they ARE!!!
They think that anyone using Internet Explorer has a REAL problem. And that Firefox is SO superior.
Okay, maybe in a way they are right.
But when you know no different, you know no different.
So I switched to Firefox.
It was actually quite easy to download and install. I just followed through the directions and allowed it to have it’s way with my computer. In a nice way of course. Which meant it transferred my favourites over from Internet Explorer and stuff like that.
What do I like about Firefox?
It’s faster than Internet Explorer and has optional add-ons to make life easier.
I know some bloggers have had ongoing frustrations with their blogs not showing up right in Internet Explorer.
So, Internet Explorer is OUT and Firefox is IN.
UNTIL….
The 30 Day Challenge.
Which are recommending all participants use Flock.
In fact, it’s kind of essential if you’re doing the 30 Day Challenge.
But I just got used to using Firefox!!!
And now you want me to CHANGE???? AGAIN????
So, now I’ve downloaded Flock.
And gradually getting used to it.
It’s made by the same people as Firefox (so I’m told). And apparently, until recently, hasn’t been as good as Firefox.
But now it’s all changed.
I can’t believe how fast things change in the internet world.
It’s enough to make my head spin!!!
Firefox vs Flock
Which is better?
I’m not really sure.
Flock has some built in features to make social networking a little easier.
The rest I’m still learning.
I’m not yet convinced it’s better than Firefox. But I’ll keep you posted once I learn how to use it properly.
So, what about you?
What browser do you use and why?

My normal day to day browsing I do with Firefox.
I do however like to try new and differnt things every now and then so I also use Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari on occasions. I have yet to try Flock.
I used to use IE until a few months ago when I heard about Firefox. I’ve since been using Firefox and can’t imagine using Internet Explorer ever again.
Firefox is so much faster than IE, and it’s very true that sites and blogs look much better when using Firefox. I have heard about Flock, but at this point in time have no intention of checking it out. Firefox is the way to go in my opinion.
I have been using Flock for about a month now and I have to say I absolutely love it. Also, it is built around Firefox technology anyway… I doubt you’ll notice much difference except that Flock plsys up the “social” features by incorporating things like twitter, youtube, etc. into the main window area.
I think most people are browser snobs, irrespective of what they use. I had one friend go on and on about Safari, for example, until I agreed to download it. I asked him to download Flock at the same time. Interestingly at the end of that day we had both made Flock our default browser.

I have Internet Explorer because that’s what came with my computer. I’m happy with it.
