Team Lightening for the 30 Day Challenge

For those who have joined the 30 Day Challenge, I have started a thread on the 30-Day Challenge Forums where we can meet one another and discuss any issues or problems (and share successes) with one another. Feel free to pop in to that thread and introduce yourself to one another.

I know that there are 5 who have signed up using my link (don’t worry, I don’t get paid for those sign-ups or anything but they do provide a tracking system so you know how many have signed up via your own link. There are apparently going to be prizes for those with high numbers of referrals but I doubt I’ll qualify). Add myself and Kin and that potentially gives us a team of 7.

We have also been having some discussion on the Aussie Bloggers Forum (which anyone is welcome to join). Feel free to read along with what we’re doing and join in (whether you are a part of the 30-Day Challenge or not).

I know some of you are feeling overwhelmed that you haven’t started the preseason tasks yet. Don’t stress about it too much. So far they involve installing the Flock Browser, some add-ons for the browser and signing up with Twitter and Twhirl. It sounds like a lot to get your head around but most of the tutorial videos aren’t very long and there is still time to catch up.

For those not interested in monetizing your blog (or earning money online), I still recommend signing up with the 30-Day Challenge to have access to the excellent material that is provided. There is no cost involved and no commitment. You can watch as few or as many of the videos presented. They’re all aimed at those will very little technical knowledge so don’t feel like you have to “know stuff” in order to benefit from the teaching being offered.

Once you’re signed up, you can take as much time as you like to make your way through tutorials you’re interested in. While we’re currently in Pre-Season 2008 with the actual 30-Day Challenge starting on August 1st, the videos and other material remains available until pre-season 2009 starts. So there is plenty of time to work through stuff at your own pace if you prefer.

For those of you who’ve made a start, what are your initial thoughts? Are you finding the pace a little overwhelming or about right? Any problems or great insights you’ve found thus far?
