SunRice FREE Recipe Club

One of the things I love most about the internet is the plethora of FREE stuff available out there. I mean, who doesn’t like FREE right? Of course, many free things come with strings attached. Or maybe it’s MOST free things come with strings attached?

Free recipes are one thing that you can certainly find an abundance of all over the internet. So perhaps they’re not something to get all that excited about. In fact, many companies have their own websites where you can find all kinds of recipes and ideas for using their products. And why wouldn’t they? It’s a great marketting technique.

I have recently come across the SunRice Recipe Club and have to admit that it’s one I feel is worth being a part of.

Why?

1. It’s FREE. And who doesn’t like free right?

2. You can find lots of great recipe ideas for a variety of tastes.

3. You can save those that appeal to you into your own recipe folder to make them easier to find next time you visit.

4. Activity on the site gives you points (through surveys, contributing recipes, entering barcodes and inviting friends) which can be exchanged for free recipe books, competition entries and sample products.

It’s a great resource that I’m sure many of you will find some value from.

And did I mention it’s FREE? Wink

Thank you. It is quite a site!

Yummy! Thanks for sharing this information with us. Would definitely bookmark that

I collect new recipes from all types of magazines as well as the web. I read them out to L and suggest that maybe we could try this one or that one. Then he says, “but what if we (I) don’t like it? What do we eat then?” So it’s back to an old favourite again. *sigh*
One day……….

Finally I get to see my comment listed.. Askimet is such a bother.. Thanks for the effort!

Nicole - I know I’m enjoying it. :)

Ben - Thanks for your comment. Glad you liked.

River - what would happen if you just one day dished up something different? Or should we not go there?

lightening,

why don’t you use the threaded comment plugin? It is going to help you organise your comments better and easier to reply to your readers.

Occasionally I have dished up something different, sometimes COMPLETELY different, but with ingredients I know he likes, or sometimes a well loved favourite cooked differently. Usually they are then added to the list of things we can have again, sometimes not. I always make sure there’s an acceptable back-up meal which can be heated in no time, just in case. You have to understand he was raised on a steady diet of chips and fried food. And a lot of meat. Meat is the main ingredient on his plate. It’s a bit of a sore point because I don’t like red meat. Often he won’t let me buy it “just for him”, I have to be eating it as well, then there’s the complaints about not having a “proper” meal. I get around this by cooking the meat and serving myself a tiny porton, which he finishes off after I’ve kind of nibbled a bit of it. The high cost of quality meat is another sore point. He objects to paying what he sees as too much, preferring that I buy the cheaper stuff, but it’s tougher and fattier and I just can’t touch it. We eat a lot of chicken……

true. one thing i love about the internet. all that free information. :)

Ben - thanks for your suggestion. I’ll look into it.

River - I have one who was raised on plenty of meat too. Fortunately not very nice meat so he’s not too bad about trying new things. Well, some of the time anyway.

Kouji - It’s great isn’t it. :) And speaking of free, I was just able to order a 450g sample of microwave rice which will be great as I wanted to try it before we head away in the caravan.

I love free. I typically troll sites like slickdeals, etc and always find goodies!

did you say FREE ?!?!

Thanks for the site. I’ve missed it before although I monitor many recipes sites.
