Anyone Else Having Trouble With Flock?

I’m finding my Flock browser is getting slower and slower. Today I couldn’t get any pages to load in it (despite it trying hard). Unsure whether it was my connection (which can be dodgy at times), I decided to open Firefox and see how that went. It seems to be working fine (well, not uber-fast but at least it’s working).

So, my question to all you Flock users out there. Are you still happy with it? Have you had any trouble with it being slow?

I switched to Flock as part of the 30 Day Challenge and while I like some of it’s features, I’m not convinced I’m going to stick with it.

What are your thoughts in general on the best browser to use?

No two ways about it. Firefox all the way!

One of the most irritating features of browsers and email programs these days is the tendency to look for, then download, updates to the software - without telling the person trying to use the ****ing thing on dialup speed with a foot pedal powering the modem…

Well, not quite re the modem, but I’m thinking maybe Flock is trying to download a HUUUUUGE update for you. Want it or not.

I think that because it uses Firefox engine.
With 3rd firefox after some working time I have real perfomance troubles. It eat half of CPU.

I’ve got to agree with Nicole…Firefox is the best. Since switching to Firefox a year ago, I don’t even bother thinking about trying any other browser. One less thing to worry about.

You can’t go wrong with firefox, even Chrome just can’t compare. All the plugins make firefox better anyways.

If you are on linux, debugging would be pretty easy.
You might want to do the ” about:config ” speed enhancement in flock. It works just like firefox does and makes a huge difference.. happy flocking
